The Gay Skateboard Project is a place to challenge notions of being gay and being a skater. This project is an effort to build community around being gay and skateboarding.

Through the GSP I hope to help inspire confidence for people to be openly gay in the skateboard world without having to assume any forced identity based on cultural expectations. Just be ourselves. GSP is a way to connect, express, support, and identify.

Skateboarding for me has always been about being true to yourself. It is also part creativity, part individuality, part perseverance, and part pure fun. There is a sense that those who enjoy skateboarding are sharing the same joy and that brings us together somehow.
